Where are thou Jack

Life pauses for a little while, letting the air seep in
mending the pain, the weariness and the nerves that were frayed thin
For too long a while tremors were a constant
Waking up in the morning was as much a task as making coal fragrant

The sullen look, the motley grin, the frowning at a whim
The caustic remarks intended to fray the nerves thin
A long break was in the offing, it arrived and vanished
Vanished without a trace and now it leaves me famished
Famished for a little care and a little love
I wish Jack sparrow was here, he'd share his bloody trove
